    HUGE BARN FIND IN PORTUGAL

    Lotus 7 (Series 4) , Elan, Porsche 356 ....the list goes on....and...on ...Over 180 Cars !!!

Guess what, the guys that originally posted the news www.interclassico.com, don't have any information about The Finding now.

According to a portuguese classic car website the following statement was on the original post.
Interclassico found the Alibaba Garage, a warehouse (with 180 cars) wich had its doors soldered (yes, soldered) for 15 years. It's difficult to find such a group of cars like this in the whole World.

On another website it quotes (another translation):
The cars belong to a private collector that asked for anonymity, all have documents and were bought during the 80's, in 1990 with the warehouse full, the doors were closed and soldered being reopened in my presence.

It's considered the biggest barn find ever, in Portugal. However there is still lack of information about it
It's a tricky finding though... Was someone gathering the cars so that they could be sold when they had more value?

WRC Round 1 - MONTE CARLO

Round 1 of the WRC kicked off with some fantastic results from the brand new Citroen C4 in the hands of the master-driver Loeb (Does he EVER make mistakes), and the up-and-coming Dani Sordo , who is definitely the one to watch ! – even so Loeb managed to stay 20 YES THAT’s TWENTY second ahead of everyone else ....in a brand new car !!!! Maybe we should make him drive an Allegro next time !!!

Petter had a better rally than the whole of last year put together – Can’t wait to see the new Scooby out at the next round .

Gronholm tried hard but always seems to be the bridesmaid, never the groom – come on Man !,  get it together and show these Frenchies how to drive !!!

    1st:  Sébastien Loeb
    2nd:  Dani Sordo
    3rd:  Marcus Grönholm
    4th:  Chris Atkinson
    5th:  Mikko Hirvonen
    6th:  Petter Solberg

WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE MARCH AGAIN !!!

Am getting a little 'bored' with the non-sevening weather and looking forward to breaking out the car again in the Spring.

If only I had a time machine.

Until then it's more 'work' and more wretched weather !!!!

    Just great !!!

VSCC Meet at The Phoenix (New Years Day 2007)

Once again the weather subsided for a cold but dry new years VSCC meet, with some fantastic old British cars turning up, D & C-type Jags, Morgan 3 wheelers, Bugatti’s, A 1930’s Bentley.

...and everyone just parks and leaves their car wherever they can and heads into the Phoenix Pub for Sausages and Coffee !

Another great meet that has been going on for many years , in fact Colin Chapman himself once turned up and ran a slightly illegal Formula 2 race Car at 120MPH from the pub towards Basingstoke....Now that’s something I would have loved to have seen !!!

I really must pull my finger out and get my 7 up to the meet !
